Storage

Correct storage of Edison Cylinders is very important for their longevity. Out of all types of recorded media, Cylinders are by far the most delicate. First, and most importantly, do not store them on their side. This lets them roll easily. I have personally had a cylinder get destroyed after the cylinder, still in it's container, rolled off of the table it was on, and it shattered into thousands of tiny shards. That said, you should also keep them away from ledges so they won't be knocked off. Keep them in a dry area. If your storage area is humid, or wet, or easily flooded, than move them now. I keep mine in a waterproof tub. Something you could do is make a special box, divided up into separate sectors, each holding one cylinder. Basically, just use common sense, and you should be all right.
